The LaPorte County Drug Free Partnership, formed in 1989, is one of the 15 counties in the Northwest Region of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana. As a part of the statewide structure and designated as the Local Coordinating Council under the authority by law of the County Commission, members include concerned citizens and representatives from any county organizations interested in helping to solve problems caused by substance abuse / addiction in LaPorte County.  View our Partner list.

The Drug Free Partnership is very pleased to be participating in the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG), which is part of a federally-funded initiative to improve drug and alcohol prevention. Currently, 42 states receive these grants, to support work in 397 communities.

OUR YOUTH ARE IMPORTANT!

Middle and high school youth from across the county are brought together under the guidance of a Youth Advisor. They plan and develop their own initiatives to address substance use / abuse by their peers within their own school populations, backed by and financially supported by the Partnership.
