WHAT IS THE LAPORTE COUNTY DRUG FREE
PARTNERSHIP?
The LaPorte County Drug Free Partnership, formed
in 1989, is one of the 15 counties in the
Northwest Region of the Governor’s Commission
for a Drug Free Indiana. As a part of the
statewide structure and designated as the Local
Coordinating Council under the authority by law
of the County Commission, members include
concerned citizens and representatives from any
county organizations interested in helping to
solve problems caused by substance abuse /
addiction in LaPorte County.

OUR DEDICATED STAFF:

Jeane Bock
- Coordinator. Jeane brings a resume filled
with wide experience in substance abuse
prevention work. She has BA and
MSW degrees, has
been a social worker at Youth Service Bureau,
Projects/Grants Leader at
LaPorte Community Schools, program
director of Prenatal Substance Use Prevention
Program at Dunebrook, and a staff therapist at
Samaritan Center.

Sandy Gleim,
Executive Director of Healthy Communities of
LaPorte County &
Associate Coordinator of Drug Free Partnership,
works with Jeane to share a portion of the
coordinator responsibilities. As Associate
Director, she also offers a strong resume
including community coalition building, health
and tobacco control experience, and has served
as immediate past chair of the partnership.

MISSION STATEMENT
To bring together representatives,
organizations, and agencies both public and
private, who seek to provide optimal resources
for the combating of alcohol and other drug
abuse in LaPorte County.
We do this by formulating a countywide
comprehensive plan, while evaluating and
restructuring to insure its goals are met, and
by funding proposed projects and programs by
awarding grants from the local portion of the
Drug Free Community Fund.
